1. Civil War (April 12)

This is Directed and written by Alex Garland (“Ex Machina”), this apocalyptic action film shows the United States amid conflict, with 19 states consuming seceded and the U.S. government facing off contrary to a Texan and Californian army called the Western Forces. Kristen Dunst, Jesse Plemons besides Cailee Spaeny all star. 

2. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (April 12)

Godzilla X King Kong are no longer opponents, but instead partners in “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” The film is the development of 2021’s “Godzilla vs. Kong” and follows the two iconic characters stripping together to face off against a new-fangled threat.

3. Challengers (April 26)

Luca Guadignino directed “Challengers”. It is a muggy romantic comedy sports drama. Zendaya stars as Tashi, a tennis coach. She has trained her husband, Art Donaldson (played by Mike Faist), to tennis stardom. Afterward, Art suffers a string of losses. Then, Tashi signs up for a challenger occasion against none other than Tashi’s ex-boyfriend — who is also Art’s former best friend — Patrick (Josh O’Connor). Quickly, it becomes clear that tensions in the court stem from tensions off of it.

4. The Fall Guy (May 3)

“Barbie” star Ryan Gosling earnings in an action comedy film adaptation of the 1980s series “The Fall Guy.” The picture follows stuntman Colt Seavers (Gosling) as he the lot on a movie directed by his ex-wife, Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt). As one can deduce, things don’t go smoothly once the star of the film disappears besides Colt sets off to find her.

5. Back to Black (May 10)

Marisa Abela of “Industry” stars using the late sultry singer Amy Winehouse in a biopic directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. Told from the singer’s point of view, the film looks at her rise to renown, her troubled life, and the release of the “Back to Black” album. Jack O’Connell besides Leslie Manville co-star.

6. IF (May 17)

The comedy film “IF” stars John Krasinski, Ryan Reynolds, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Krasinski directed it. It asks: what if your imaginary friends were real? One undeveloped girl will find out the answer to that question after she starts seeing the imaginary friends created by those around her.

7. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (May 24)

George Miller’s “Mad Max” franchise continues with “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” Anya Taylor-Joy stars as early Imperator Furiosa, the younger version of Charlize Theron’s character. Furiosa is unnerved by a Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth) and must find her way back home.

8. Garfield (May 24)

Chris Pratt and Samuel L. Jackson join comic maker Jim Davis’ universe. They join the franchise in its newest animated feature. This comes after Bill Murray’s 2004 film “Garfield: The Movie” and its 2006 sequel “Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties.” Pratt will star instead of the the orange cat. Jackson will play his father Vic — a new character.

9. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (May 24)

After the death of Caesar in 2017’s “War for the Planet of the Apes,” the newest film in the 20th Century Studios franchise will be set many generations later. Apes are now the dominant species. A new tyrannical ape twitches to build an empire. A young ape is forced to wrestle with decisions. These choices will define the future for both monkeys and humans. The group of actors encompasses Owen Teague, Kevin Durand, Freya Allen, William H. Macy, and Peter Macon.

10. Hit Man (June 7)

The film is based on Skip Hollandsworth’s 2001 Texas Monthly article of the same name. In it, Glen Powell stars as a Houston police officer who goes undercover as an assassin to catch willing clients. But Hijinks ensures when he bargains himself getting invested in saving a woman in an abusive relationship, played by Adria Arjona. Austin Amelio, Retta besides Molly Bernard round out the cast.

11. Bad Boys 4 (June 7)

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will unite for the fourth movie in the action series. It will be a sequel to “Bad Boys for Life,” which made $426.5 million worldwide. “Bad Boys for Life” executives Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are returning for the fourth film, through Chris Bremner penning the script.
